Hi! I’m Dee— the mood-reading, serial-yapping member of the group and a full-time corporate girly. I grew up as a true bookworm, but I fell out of reading. Now, I’m rediscovering my love for books that never really left.
My go-to genres are romantasy, psychological thrillers, and contemporary romance. As a mood reader, I typically juggle multiple books at once—whether it’s physical, Kindle, or audio. I don’t have an all-time favorite book because, honestly, my answer changes depending on when you ask!

Hi Friends! I’m Kaitlyn, the mom of the group and always on the hunt for a good audiobook I can listen to while chasing my toddler around. When I get a moment to myself, I love opening a physical book and having a good glass of wine while listening to Ella Fitzgerald radio on Spotify. I am a romance girl through and through, but my other favorite genres are romantasy, psychological thriller, YA, and occasionally some general fiction. I have a degree in Creative Writing from Texas A&M and would love to get back into writing when life calms down a bit. Until then podcast production and hosting has become my second favorite hobby after reading. My favorite reads of all time are Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers, Part of Your World Series by Abby Jimenez, A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas, Quicksilver by Callie Hart, and the list goes on.

Hey! I’m Ashley, the mood reader of the podcast. You can usually find me at the function with a distant gaze, wishing I was at home reading instead. I’ve been a lifelong reader, my first love being anything written by Judy Blume. I tend to drift towards literary fiction, dark fantasy, and dark academia. My all time favorite books are The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo, and the Red Rising trilogy. I am stingy on giving out my 5 stars, so it takes alot to sway me, but I love nothing more than being moved by a book and left utterly crushed. Hi! I'm Maddie, the baby of the group and part-time writer. I love romance (especially dark and smutty), some romantasy (though I'm picky), and really messed up books. Whether it's horror or Hallmark (or both!), I like big emotions and lots of action. As a writer and daughter of multiple generations of English teachers, I have a love for literature that has somehow manifested over time into me writing Harry Potter fanfiction (which you can find on Wattpad, ao3, and Fanfiction.com at SerpentsAndSongbirds). My favorite books of all time are OUABH, Caraval, ACOMAF, Keeping 13, Divine Rivals, Tender is the Flesh, The Stranger, and The Picture of Dorian Gray but this list is always evolving.
